There are three stages that occur during Interphase:
G1 Phase
-The period before the synthesis of DNA
-The cell carries out metabolic activity to prepare to undergo cell division
-It is undergoing rapid growth
S Phase
-DNA is replicated
G2 Phase
-The period after DNA synthesis has occured, before prophase
-Centrioles replicate
-The cell prepares for division
