Metaphase

-The nuclear membrane completely disappears
-Spindle fibers attach to the centromeres of the chromosomes (one sister fiber attached to each sister chromatid)
-Chromosomes move until they attach to polar fibers from both sides of their centromeres.
-Chromosomes are lined up along the equator of the cell, and each chromatid is attached to a spindle fiber
